About Me

I have been excited about doTERRA essential oils since April 2015, but that wasn't my first exposure to essential oils. I am also a kindergarten teacher, and MANY years ago, two of my former parents were essential oil enthusiasts. One made amazing soaps and potions that I was eager to test out, and the other made wonderful cleaning products that she taught me to make for my classroom.

For the past several years, I had been on a quest to improve my self-care, so I was intrigued when my dear friend invited me to my first essential oil class. It can be SO easy for us moms to put ourselves at the back of the line for our own needs. Someone else always seems to take priority when we look at our schedules, finances, needs, and desires. I am a practical gal, and I had said "not now, I can't" to myself for decades, so it was a total splurge for me when I bought the Family Physician's Kit of oils and a diffuser. At that first class I initially arrived planning to purchase a single bottle of oil to help my friend out. But when I was there, smelling the oils and listening to how they could be used in my home, for my family's health, and for my own self care, I couldn't pick just one...I wanted them ALL! Now whenever I get a package in the mail from doTERRA, I feel like a little girl opening a present, and I feel totally pampered and spoiled when I use these oils in my home. I love SO many of doTERRA's oils that it is difficult to choose a single favorite, so here are my top five!
• Balance Gounding Blend works almost immediately for me, and it helps me to feel calm and centered, a must for a teacher of young children!
• I add a few drops of Lemon oil to my water each morning to help me with detoxification. Did you know that it takes 45 lemons to make a single bottle of oil?
• On Guard Protective Blend is a MUST for a kindergarten teacher, as I am exposed to SO many germs from my students each day!
• Peppermint oil is wonderful to keep me alert, ease head tension, and to cool me off when "Hotlanta" summers are intense!
